Titats' Saleh Holds Out Draft Picks From Rookie Camp

Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh held all eight of the team's draft picks out of their first rookie camp practice, citing player fatigue and injury concerns.

Robert Saleh's first year as the Tennessee Titans head coach started with a unique approach to rookie camp. The coach kept all eight draft selections out of their initial practice, instead having 58 tryout players, five returning veterans and 11 undrafted free agents take the field.

"I've called it a scar," Saleh explained, referencing a previous experience where a player tore his ACL on the first rep of rookie minicamp. "These guys have had a lot of stress over the last month, their bodies aren't ready for football." Second-round pick Anthony Hill Jr. supported the decision, stating "we've been on the move so much lately" and that it was okay to step back and learn the defense. The rookies will join veterans for voluntary OTAs starting May 18th. xsportfeed.life
